The seminar on current literature review is scheduled either as one 4-hour session per month or two 2-hour sessions per month depending on the timetable of each term. Additional hours may be needed based on circumstances.
Seminar leader (on a rotation basis) will shortlist meaningful literatures making references to relevant dental / medical journals. These should include literatures with significant contribution to advancement in oral biology, clinical implication, unique research design, teaching methodologies, etc.
Residents are encouraged to be cognizant of new / newly available Endodontics and Endodontics-related journals to be included in the review process. In addition, categorization under different sub-headings is necessary where applicable.
Discussion with the course supervisor may be necessary to finalise the list of the current literatures for distribution to all residents and for preparation of the seminar.
The current literatures list (stipulate the review period) is to be compiled, typewritten* and sent through Graduate School of Dental Studies (Ms Doris Wong) to program director for record filing. The final literatures are to be photocopied for distribution at least one week in advance of the seminar.
