You will be registered for a student pass via the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Student’s Pass Online Application & Registration (SOLAR) system in June. Details of how to proceed with your student pass application will be emailed to you. Once your student pass application receives in-principle approval (IPA), the School will email you the IPA letter. For students who require a visa to enter Singapore, a visa will be incorporated in the IPA. Students need not apply for a separate visa, and may enter Singapore by producing the IPA letter at the checkpoints.

After you complete student registration on Tuesday 1 August 2017 (Tuesday), LKYSPP staff will issue you a serialised appointment letter for completion of student pass formalities at the Off Site Exercise (OSE) for Student’s Pass Application by International Students.

The OSE will take place on Friday 3 August 2018, 8.30 a.m. – 10.30 a.m. at the UTown Seminar Room 2, Town Plaza (http://utown.nus.edu.sg/about-university-town/town-plaza/), Kent Ridge Campus.

Please attend the OSE at the time indicated on your serialised appointment letter. (It will be between 8.30 a.m. – 10.30 a.m.)

Please note that you will need to submit your ICA medical report as part of the completion of student pass formalities.

To facilitate a smooth application process at the OSE, please note the following:

  5. To avoid unnecessary delays, take photos that meet ICA photo requirements as soon as you are in Singapore. Paid photo-taking service at a fee is available at UTown, Seminar Room 5, (http://utown.nus.edu.sg/about-university-town/town-plaza/), The photograph vendor also provides paid photocopying and printing services.

11.Long Term Visit Pass (for international students)

If your family members are accompanying you on a long-term basis, they will have to apply for a long-term visit pass (LTVP) and you will need to find a local sponsor for this pass. If you require the University to act as a sponsor, you will have to pay a refundable security deposit of SGD5,000 per family member and other non-refundable administrative fees. Please refer to http://www.nus.edu.sg/registrar/event/socialvisitpass.html for more details. Please note that the University’s sponsorship is at its discretion and will be exercised on a case-by-case basis.
