IVLE for Teaching and Learning: Getting Started

By the end of this session, you should be able to:
Create a new module in IVLE, and update details on the module description, including the learning outcomes for the module
Create class groups, and be able to assign students to the respective groups
Upload materials (lecture notes, handouts and readings) that your students can access
Update your lesson plan based on your intended student learning outcomes
This workshop gives a basic introduction to IVLE and is ideal for new staff who have little or no knowledge of IVLE.
Basic computer skills and basic Web navigation skills would be useful.
IVLE (Integrated Virtual Learning Environment) is a learning management system designed to facilitate and supplement teaching and thereby, promote student learning at NUS. A comprehensive introduction to IVLE, this hands-on workshop will enable you to create and manage a module with emphasis on the commonly used tools like the workbin and the qlesson plan. It will also cover a brief overview of the other tools available in IVLE.
