This course examines the international intellectual property system and addresses the legal issues raised by the trade of products protected by intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, and copyrights) across different jurisdictions. This course reviews the key international agreements and provisions in this area, as well as the different national policies, which have been adopted, to date, in several domestic jurisdictions or free trade areas, including the European Union, the U.S., China, Japan, and the ASEAN countries.
