Learning Outcomes

TopA practical course for a clear understanding of rhythmic subdivisions and groupings. These concepts are the foundation for a thorough understanding of how rhythm works in composed music, improvised music and interactive musical performance. The devices learned include a system of rhythmic counting based on South Indian Konnakkol and how it is applied in polyrhythm and score memorization.
