This transformation process involves designing, planning, controlling, and executing activities. The objects dealt with involve manpower, materials, machines, facilities, and customers. The interaction and interrelationship of all the activities and objects makes the management of operations a challenging task. To be competitive in today?s global marketplace, a company must have effective and efficient operations management across and along its supply and demand network.
