Learning Outcomes

TopObjective - This module is an introduction to the systems and approaches used to meet the challenges of natural resource protection and conservation and the contributions that can be made to the sustainability development agenda. It provides an insight into the prediction of development impacts using assessment procedures designed to meet mandatory legal requirements. The course will include assessment methodologies used in predicting impacts and in the design of mitigation measures, and monitoring and audit processes. It will compare environmental management and assessment systems used in practice through case study research. Targeted Students - For students on the M.Sc. (Environmental Management) program. Research students and students from other graduate programmes in NUS may apply subject to suitability of candidate and availability of places.
