CHINESE MARITIME LAW

This course will provide students with both the background and an overview of substantive maritime law from the perspective of the PR China. Students who successfully complete the course will therefore be familiar with relevant parts of the Maritime Code of the PRC (1993) and other related laws and regulations. Including the Maritime Procedure Law of the PRC (1999).
NUS Compulsory Core Law Curriculum or equivalent. A basic course in shipping law would be helpful but is not required.
Must not have taken a substantially similar course.
9 sessions over 3 weeks: Three, 3-hrs continuous weekly seminars
