Real estate finance
This module examines the theories and practices of real estate financing in the project and corporate finance context. Students will learn the theories, techniques and practices of project and corporate finance applicable to real estate investment and business portfolios. Major topics include: mortgage financing, discounted cash flows, investment feasibility analysis, real estate corporate finance, capital structure and decisions, coporate growth and valuation, NAV discounts/premium and business strategies, real setate corporate case studies.
course participants should have taken and passed a course in real estate investment analysis (RE5003).
Formal lecture sessions, seminar discussion, problems and practices, group project, mid-term test, take-home test and final examination.
