Learning Outcomes

TopBy the end of the module, students should be able to:
  • read with better understanding;
  • write coherent paragraphs;
  • understand and use basic English grammar correctly;
  • identify and correct a limited set of grammar errors in written texts;
  • have an improved academic vocabulary; and
  • acquire some independent learning skills.

Prerequisites

TopPlacement through the Qualifying English Test.

TopThe modes of teaching include:
  • e-lectures with online quizzes and practice exercises
  • online group discussions
  • tutorials with lecturer input and group work
  • conferencing sessions with tutors
