COMPARATIVE CONFLICT OF LAWS

This is an advanced course of private international law which offers a comparative perspective on the traditional issues addressed by rules of private international law, i.e. choice of law, international jurisdiction, and the recognition of foreign judgments. The focus will essentially be the United States and on the European Union, but other jurisdictions will also be considered from time to time.
NUS Compulsory Core Law Curriculum or equivalent.
9 session over 3 weeks: Three 3hr weekly seminar
Intensive: Wk 1 to 3; Dates: 13 - 30 Jan 2015
Mode of Assessment:
Class Participation - 10% & 6-hr Take Home Exam - 90% [Release: Fri 6 March 2015 (1pm); Due: Fri 6 March 2015 (7pm)]
