a) Explain community leadership in the Singapore context
b) Develop understanding of the importance of team work in community leadership.
c) Acquire some basic skills in negotiation, communication and identifying root causes as part of understanding community leadership.
d) Applying social leadership knowledge and methodology for identifying real issues and needs within a local community.
Our classes contact time is designed to be in regular weekly seminars (either Tuesdays 4-6 pm or Tuesdays 6-8 pm as well as special events as listed :
Pulau Ubin Camps at Outward Bound School from 5-7 Sep 2014 or 12-14 Sep 2014 (Fridays evening to Sundays) – students to choose one weekend
Community Walk (4-6 hours anytime from 28-31 Aug) – in small groups
CAPT Symposia - afternoon of 19 Sept (Friday) and 20 Sept (Saturday)
Ministerial Forum - 28th Oct (5- 7 pm)
This module is currently open only to students of the College of Alice & Peter Tan, University Town
