Learning Outcomes

TopThis course will explore legal and policy developments pertaining to climate change. Approaches considered will range in jurisdictional scale, temporal scope, policy orientation, regulatory target, and regulatory objective. Although course readings and discussion will focus on existing and actual proposed legal responses to climate change, the overarching aim of the course will be to anticipate how the climate change problem will affect our laws and our lives in the long run.

Prerequisites

TopPrerequisites: NUS Compulsory Core Curriculum or its equivalent

TopContact Hours: 9 sessions over 3 weeks: Three, 3hr weekly seminars

Schedule

TopWorkload: ntensive: Week 1 - 3, 14 - 29 Jan 2014 [2 Make-up seminars in lieu of CNY Wed, 22 & 29 Jan (1 - 4pm)]

Assessment

TopMode of Assessment: Class Participation - 10%; 6-Hr Take Home Exam - 90% [Release: Sat, 8 Mar 14 (1pm); Due: Sat, 8 Mar 14 (7pm)]
