Learning Outcomes

Top

Upon completion of the module, students will be able to:

  1. Differentiate between leadership and management;

  2. Discuss the core components and interrelationship of leadership and management;

  3. Identify and discuss various leadership and management frameworks;

  4. Evaluate the impact of health care issues, trends, organisational culture and values on the delivery of nursing and health care activities;

  5. Identify the various types of information systems used in healthcare and discuss their application; and

    Demonstrate application of critical thinking and problem solving using leadership and management principles and strategies in the delivery of patient care.
