This practitioner-led module which is targeted at participants with basic background in management (through academic study or practice) and will introduce participants to the management knowledge and skills needed in different healthcare organisations. Learning will be through interacive lectures, group discussions, a summary exercise, site visits and other activities. Participants are expected to actively share their experiences and to learn collectively.
The course is necessarily broad ranging and will focus on providing participants with integrated conceptual frameworks to continue learning and growing in helathcare management. Topics covered include:

To bring together all the different strands of learning, students will create and present business plans for innovative healthcare enterprises. A site visit to a local healthcare facility will enable participants to meet with and learn from real-world practitioners.
