The RVRC Year Two Programme builds on the college mission to enhance students’ intellectual and personal growth, with three interconnected pillars of Respect, Reflection and Resilience. The Respect Pillar places an empasis on participation in diverse learning exercises that will develop and enhance students' respect for self, society and the environment. These interactive sessions will include exposing students to new ideas, cultures, traditions, and worldviews, as a frame of reference to allow them to break down stereotypes, biases, and discrimination.
The learning options called Forums, focus on experiential learning, and are:
a. Non-credit bearing.
b. Offered in 12 hours of contact time (excluding expeditions).
c. Conducted in small classes of 12 - 15 students, emphasizing participation and peer engagement.
d. Assessed for active participation by students during sessions. Some other completion requirements may be calibrated to specific learning outcomes.
