The fields of science and engineering have a direct correlation to the creation and protection of intellectual property (IP). This course intends to offer the engineering and science students at graduate-level, but senior undergraduates can be considered, an introduction of Intellectual Property Law, emphasizing more on patent related subjects. It aims to equip the students with a practical IP knowledge which leads to a handy resource for them to use in the professional career. The main topics are: (i) the Overview of IP Law, (ii) Technological Aspects of Patent Law and Practice, and (iii) Business Aspect of IP Management.
