Objective - This module covers the key aspects of the management and technology of the retrofitting and conservation of buildings. Topics - Retrofitting: Criteria influencing the decision to retrofit; determining scope of works; procurement systems; contract documentation; planning and scheduling techniques; technologies for retrofitting works; management of retrofitting works. Conservation: Statutory and planning considerations; condition survey and assessment of buildings; technologies for conservation works; management of conservation projects.
