Learning Outcomes

TopStudents will learn about use of Information Technology (IT) in Singapore healthcare,  Students will gain knowledge & skills on managing IT project in their workplace, learn about key considerations for IT project success, and be able to conduct a basic evaluation of healthcare IT products.

TopLectures, Group Presentations, Projects/Assignments.

Schedule

TopThis module will run from Mon, 13 Feb 2017 to Fri, 17 Feb 2017 at 9am to 5pm.

Syllabus

TopStudents will learn about IT systems in health & how patient data flows across systems and institutions in order to provide & optimise continuous care.
Topics include:
1. Computerized Provider Order Entry.
2. Clinical Decision Support.
3. Medication Reconciliation.
4. National Electronic Health Record.
5, Other considerations in health IT will also be covered, such as Improving Quality & Safety, Change Management, Telehealth, Healthcare IT standards, Security & Usability.
 

Assessment

TopClass Participation - 10%
Groupwork - 40%
Individual Assignment - 50%
Total - 100%.
